Review:

When we last saw high school chemistry teacher Walter White he had elected to make illegal drugs after discovering he had been had cancer. He’s not evil but Walt occupies an impersonal world where no one really cares about anyone else. Walt needs to take care of his family including his unborn child. Partnering with a former student and all around screw up Jesse (Aaron Paul)Walt created the purest high quality crystal meth; even as he declines in health desperately trying to hold on to as much time as possible, he remains committed to doing the best job possible and create a nest egg for his family—even if it IS illegal. Walt’s partnership with drug dealer Tuco (Raymond Cruz) a monster in human skin grows worse with the second season of the series. ***

The second season of “Breaking Bad” remains as strong as the first with things growing rapidly worse for Walt and everyone in his life. ---

Image & Sound:

A very nice, sharp looking transfer for “Breaking Bad. Colors pop and the series looks extremely good in its Blu-ray debut.

Special Features:

Lots of audio commentaries, “Inside Breaking Bad” featuring 13 making of featurettes, we also get promotional featurettes for the second season that takes us behind-the-scenes, “Better Call Saul” the complete version of the commercial seen in the series. “Walt’s Warning” a featurette focusing on the viral marketing campaign for the series as well as “Cop Talk with Dean Norris” and webisodes for the series. There are other special features I haven’t listed here as well.

Final Words:

Another terrific season of “Breaking Bad” arrives addicting audiences to the misadventures of Walt, his extended family and the idiots he deals with.
