“Flashforward Season 1, Part 1”
Wayne Klein
Studio: Touchstone
Release Date:
Special Features:

The first half of the TV show “Flash Forward” appears on DVD just in time to remind those interested in the show what happened during the first half of season 1 and those who missed the show to catch up with the series. ***

The premise is pretty straight forward—the world blacks out for a brief period of time and is treated to a vision of the future but when and what the context of what occurs isn’t clear to the characters. ---

Image & Sound:

“Flashforward has a nice anamorphic presentation. Colors look solid throughout. Audio sounds solid throughout.

Special Features:

We get three featurettes “Creating a Catatrophe: The Effects of a Global Blackout” focuses on the massive effort to create the most iconic scene from the first season featuring interviews co-creator David S. Goyer and his production team. ***

“Flashforward: A Look Ahead” gives fans a flash forward of their own to episode “111”. ***

“Could” gives fans a glimpse into the second half of season 1 narrated by Dominic Monaghan.

Final Words:

Fans will enjoy this set although it might appear a bit premature for most since it only features half a season. My advice—rent this and if you must have this get it in when the entire first season appears on DVD.
