Review:

Although our favourite residents of Burbank have all grown up and left college, there’s still loads of love, scandal, secrets, and of course, gossip. Developed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (who worked on shows like the OC) from the books by Cecily von Ziegesar, this features some of Hollywood’s hottest young talent, Penn Badgley, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr, Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Ed Westwick , and Taylor Momsen. New characters include Hillary Duff who plays a movie star coed, as well as the return of all the favourites, including Chuck and Serena’s search for answers that brings a few surprises. Of course, it’s all a bit far fetched, and there’s lots of stuff that can only happen in movies, but real life tends to be rather more prosaic, and where’s the fun in that.

Special Features:

Gossip Girl Mode: Interactive Viewing Experience on Episode 16: "The Empire Strikes Jack" • A Gossip Girl Fabulous Affair: Throwing a Party Gossip Girl-Style • Music Videos - The Plasticines: "Bitch", and Lady Gaga: "Bad Romance" • Gag Reel • Unaired Scenes

Final Words:

At the end of the day, the legion fans of the first two series will lap this up.
