J Terry
Studio: Warner Brothers
Release Date:
Special Features:

See Below

The famous cat and mouse team set out on their latest caper when they visit London and get involved in solving the mystery of a series of jewel robberies that have Scotland Yard stumped. Helping then is none other than that renowned consulting detective Sherlock Homes and his trusty friend Dr. Watson. This is the first movie to feature the duo without the late great Hanna Barbera team. Top vocal talent includes Michael York as Holmes, John Rhys-Davies as Watson and Malcolm McDowell as the infamous Moriarty. It doesn’t take long for Tom and Jerry to start fighting, but Holmes tells them they have to get along if they are to solve this case and clear the name of damsel in distress, the beautiful Miss Red. Joining in are all your other favourites, Butch, Spike and the wonderful Droopy.

Special Features:

How to draw Tom and Jerry with the top animator Spike Brandt.

Final Words:

Adults will enjoy the various puns and references to Homes movies past and present, but the younger viewers will just love this romp around old London town, with all Tom and Jerry’s trademark slapstick humour and chases. All in all a very entertaining 50 minutes which everyone will enjoy in the best tradition of Tom and Jerry.
